Modeling strategy:
I started with a Subdivision
Cylinder and have only edited it within Polygon Proxy Mode. I have been using
the subdivide, extrude faces, and split polygon tools under Edit Polygons. I've
noticed some irregular edges (L shaped) being created by this process. These
L shaped edges remain when switching to Standard editing mode. They turn into
regular quad faced polygons when the Sub D surface is converted to Polygons.
I'm not sure, at this point what problems the L-shapes will cause when rigging,
binding, and texturing. If they do present a problem, the model can be converted
to polygons.
