3D Textured and Lit Scene of a Dunkleosteus Terrelli Skull in a Museum
I modeled, textured, and lit the scene in Maya. I photographed shale rocks for the texture on the fossil head. I photographed a velvet shirt for the black velvet interior texture. I bought a book on Ohio fossils and scanned the illustrations, which I texture mapped to the walls surrounding the fossil. The real life fossil head existed in Orton Hall Museum on The Ohio State University's campus. I took photographs of the fossil head to use as reference while modeling the bony plates.
